The City of Webster has scheduled a Special Election for following items:

  1. To consider three (3) Amendments to the City Charter (click this link to be taken to the City of Webster's website to view a copy of the Approved Ordinance  and for additional information please contact the City of Webster directly at 352-793-2073)
  2. To fill the vacancy for Mayor for the remainder of the term.  This term will end with the 2020 General Election Cycle

101.591 F.S. and RULE 1S-5.026 POST-ELECTION CERTIFICATION VOTING SYSTEM AUDIT FOR THE CITY OF WEBSTER SPECIAL ELECTION 

PURSUANT TO 101.591 F.S. AND RULE 1S-5.026, THE SUMTER COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD WILL MEET AT 9:00 A.M. FRIDAY JULY 26, 2019 AT THE SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS OFFICE LOCATED AT 316 E. ANDERSON AVE., BUSHNELL, FLORIDA 33513 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING THE MANUAL AUDIT. THE CANVASSING BOARD WILL REMAIN IN SESSION UNTIL THE AUDIT IS COMPLETED.

june 24, 2019 - BOOK CLOSING 

This is the last day that voters, who live in the City of Webster, can register to vote for this Special Election  pursuant to Florida Statute 97.055 

July 13, 2019* - deadline to request VOTE BY MAIL 

On or before 5 pm, this is the last day City of Webster Voters can request a Vote By Mail Ballot to be mailed to them.  Requests can be made on our Mail Ballot Request web page or by calling our office at 352-569-1540. PLEASE NOTE: Completed Vote By Mail Ballots must be received in our Bushnell Annex office no later than 7 PM on the day of the Election. *This date has been updated to reflect the recent signing of SB 7066.

July 16, 2019 - Logic & accuracy tests

Pursuant to Florida Statute 101.5612(2) beginning at 9 AM testing will be conducted at the Supervisor of Elections Office Annex located at 316 East Anderson Avenue, Bushnell, Florida

July 23, 2019 - Canvassing 

Canvassing will be conducted beginning at 3 PM at the Supervisor of Elections Office Annex located at 316 East Anderson Avenue, Bushnell, Florida

JULY 26, 2019 - Post election certification audit 

Pursuant to 101.591 F.S. and Rule 1S-5.026 the Canvassing Board will conduct a Post Election Certification Voting System Audit.  See PUBLIC NOTICE on this page for more information.
