ATTENTION SUMTER COUNTY VOTERS!
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS KAREN S. KRAUSS
Something very very important is coming to Some Voters in the mail in July!
With an increase in Vote By Mail (Absentee/Mail Ballots), your Supervisor of Elections Office is taking this opportunity to let you know that IF your signature on file with our office has not been updated in the last three (3) years or more you will be receiving a voter registration application in a Canary colored envelope, please do not throw this away. Signatures are compared every time you vote. In an effort to ensure that your signature on file is your current signature, we are providing a voter registration application to you so that you may update your signature.
To accomplish this important process, please be sure to complete the registration application in its entirety; the blackened boxes are REQUIRED INFORMATION. Check the box indicating a RECORD UPDATE/CHANGE. Additionally, make any other changes such as your name, address and/or party affiliation as you consider applicable. You may also request a replacement Voter Information Card by checking that respective box.
After completing the required information, read the oath in row #12 and provide your signature. A power of attorney, relative, friend, or neighbor CANNOT SIGN FOR YOU. Return this form to the Supervisor of Elections Office in the envelope provided.
As we prepare for the 2016 election cycle, you can be assured your Elections Office is doing everything possible to provide transparent and professionally conducted elections for Sumter County. However, it does require you to do your part too, so please take a moment to provide us with your current signature and any other pertinent changes you may have. Thank you for your cooperation. With your help, we are looking forward to a successful 2016 Election!
