It is my honor to serve as your Supervisor of Elections. My office takes pride in serving the citizens of Sumter County, Florida. I want to encourage all citizens to become active and involved in the voting process. In addition to being an active voter, I encourage you to get involved as an Election Worker during our elections. 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election: notice to candidate withdrawal(s)

Some party candidates for president have reportedly suspended or ended their presidential campaigns.

If a candidate did not submit a formal withdrawal before December 12, 2023, in accordance with section 103.101(3), Fla. Stat., the candidate nominee’s name must remain on the Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) ballot for his or her respective party. A vote cast for any candidate nominee appearing on the ballot will count as a vote for that candidate.

Last Day to PICK-UP a Vote-By-Mail Ballot, WITHOUT an Emergency Affidavit

PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTE 101.62 (3)(d)5-The Supervisor may not deliver a Vote by Mail ballot to a voter or a voter's designee, during the mandatory early voting and up to 7 p.m.on election day, unless there is an emergency, to the extent that the voter will be unable to go to a designated early voting site in his or her county or to his or her assigned polling place on election day.

 

 

Vote-by-Mail Postcard Notice


We have recently mailed this postcard to assist the public with signing up for Vote-By-Mail. Legislative changes require voters, who choose to Vote-By-Mail, to sign up prior to each election cycle (after each General Election). Please follow the directions on this card to order your Vote-By-Mail or call our office for assistance.
